| In an average month, LIFESTAR, the aeromedical transport service for the UT Medical Center, tends to approximately 200 patients. Its helicopter fleet, including two Bell 430 helicopters, a Bell 206 L4, Bell 407, allows for faster travel—which increases a patient’s chance of survival—from between its bases and the accident scene. The UT Medical Center is home to LIFESTAR. However, it has four bases and a fifth base to open in 2008. |

We were the first rural department in McMinn County to operate a Class A pumper. We now operate a 2009 Emergency One Typhoon, one of four purchased by the county last year. |
